BETA (Black Expats Thriving Abroad) is a community-driven association created to support and uplift expats of color living in Playa del Carmen. Moving abroad isn’t just about relocating—it’s about thriving in a new environment with a strong, supportive community.


We recognize the unique challenges expats of color may face and we provide a space where identities are respected, voices are heard, and experiences are shared.

BETA Urgent Support Hotline


Living abroad comes with challenges, and sometimes you need quick support. That’s why we created the BETA Urgent Support Hotline—a private WhatsApp group where members can get help with urgent, time-sensitive situations in Playa del Carmen.
